About the National Small Business Exporter Summit

NASBITE International will host the fourth annual National Small Business Exporter Summit on March 25, 2020 in Annapolis, Maryland. This event will bring together top small and medium-sized exporters from across the United States, providing them with an opportunity to exchange and share best practices and lessons learned that have contributed to their export success. This forum serves as a premiere event for companies focused on export growth.

Outstanding Exporter Honorees

Open nominations for outstanding small and medium-sized exporters were sought from export trainers, Certified Global Business Professionals (CGBPs), export assistance providers and District Export Councils throughout the country. Companies that have accepted nominations will be honored for their export success at this Summit. Many of those honorees have been selected to share their export story and highlight “best practice” processes, systems or strategies, and lessons learned. These sessions form the foundation of the National Small Business Exporters Summit.

Who Should Attend

The master-class format of the National Small Business Exporter Summit provides forward-thinking CEOs and upper-level management and export executives with direct access to high-level networking and shared-learning opportunities. Attendees will be provided information on powerful tools, techniques and resources that outstanding exporters from across the country have used to guide export growth and success. Insights will be shared that Summit attendees can adapt/adopt within their own business settings to support business growth and development. The Exporter Summit presents the same networking and shared learning opportunities for international trade assistance providers, exporters and educators. National Small Business Exporter Summit attendees can use attendance of this event as a springboard into the NASBITE International Annual Conference, March 26-27 at the same location.

There’s value in attending both the Exporter Summit AND the NASBITE International Annual Conference!

“The Exporter’s conference was a pleasant surprise since the speakers were a bunch of private companies, all exporters who each gave a talk on what works and what doesn’t, which markets have specific issues and most importantly, showed the value of what it means to sell overseas. Great addition to NASBITE! I got lots of great info and leads from attending.” – Brent Rondon, Manager, Global Business Program, Duquesne University SBDC

“Attending both the National Small Business Exporters Summit and the NASBITE conference provided me with a kind of yin-yang mixture of international business knowledge. Whereas the summit exhibits various business professionals’ compelling stories – both of realizing success and avoiding (or not!) pitfalls – the conference showcases expert knowledge and best practices in trade from an instructive model. The two sides are quite different but highly complementary for anyone looking to become great at doing and understanding international business.” – Nathaniel Ward, CGBP – Director, Ohio SBDC Export Assistance Network Office, Cleveland State University

“Spending time at the Exporters Summit sharing ideas with some of America’s best and brightest small business exporters was a great learning opportunity. I liked the event’s fast-paced format, including networking opportunities that contributed to my overall NASBITE experience. I highly recommend adding the National Small Business Exporters Summit to your NASBITE Conference itinerary.” – Owen George, International Business Development Counselor, North Carolina SBTDC

“My decision to attend both the National Small Business Exporters Summit and the NASBITE Conference in Spokane was a wise one. As an international trade assistance professional, I am a member of both NASBITE and the Small Business Exporters Association (SBEA) and found holding the events together to be a very good idea as it allowed me to attend both of them. I found that it was professionally enrichening to attend both events as it expanded my perspective on the delivery of international trade assistance in the U.S.A and around the world and widened my professional network.” – Anthony Cambas, Director Wes Watkins Center for International Trade and Development, Oklahoma State University
